11 Ways To Sleep Better

Sleep is hard to come by for many of us. Sometimes, it is because of work or personal tension. Other times, it is because our minds are hyperactive when they are supposed to relax.

Lack of sleep goes on to cause a number of health issues. These can be debilitating. That is why we have compiled a long list of ways to get to sleep. Let’s go through it:

  1. Take a long, warm shower before hitting the sack.
  2. Make sure your bedroom is comfortable and relaxing.
  3. Don’t watch television before going to bed.
  4. Turn off all lights!
  5. Don’t eat a heavy meal before bed.
  6. No alcohol!
  7. Don’t take long naps in the afternoon. Naps shouldn’t exceed 20 minutes.
  8. Start reading a book if you are not sleepy at all.
  9. The lights must be dimmed 3 hours before your sleep time. They should be shut off completely close to bedtime.
  10. Yoga stretches may help you fall asleep.
  11. No caffeine in the evening. Keep the coffee and tea away.
